  • General Responsibilities

    Regional Training Manager – Global Learning




    The Regional Training Manager will report to the Director of Learning Operations and will oversee implementation of all Learning Delivery related processes under their umbrella. This person will ensure the delivery and facilitation of learning activities supporting Hertz programs.


    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Support new hire, continuing education, program specific training, and other training as needed by the business
    • Accountable for the successful execution of training needs including resource planning, measuring program training effectiveness, and managing trainer attrition
    • Develop and cultivate partnership with other business units and internal stakeholders
    • Utilize effective presentation and facilitation skills including creative training techniques and adult/accelerated learning techniques, while using a variety of training delivery modalities including live and virtual classroom training
    • Responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance of training standard operating procedures
    • Responsible for day-to-day functional supervision of the assigned training management team providing coaching and developmental feedback
    • Demonstrate effective, consistent communication with managers, peers, and other leaders within the business and resource units
    • Accountable for achieving individual and organizational training performance metrics
    • Manage utilization of staff across programs to increase efficiency of training activities
    • Responsible for selecting, training, developing, and managing performance of training staff; providing prompt and objective coaching and counseling; and coordinating, planning, and assigning work
    • Maintain accurate measurement and reporting of all assigned training metrics
    • Develop strategies to ensure that training department staff have adequate tools, techniques and methods to deploy best in class training
    • Drive data analytics to link training facilitation and curriculum effectiveness to performance and operational processes
    • Other duties as required by business needs


    Mandatory Requirements

    Education & Professional Certifications: 

    • Bachelor's degree in related field from a four-year college or university or 5+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience


    Other Qualifications:

    • Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including the Microsoft Office suite
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively utilizing presentation, facilitation, verbal, and written skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team remotely
    • Strong project management skills (time, people, projects)
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule
    • Travel required
