    General Responsibilities:

    The Vendor Performance Manager will report directly to the Director of the Vendor Management Organization. The manager will work with Hertz sites in the assigned region to drive outsourced vendor performance. To drive performance the manager will monitor site metrics to pro-actively address issues such as insufficient labor plans, Scope creep, stalling %, Charge back hours, Damage to vehicles, Invoicing discrepancies, identify areas of cost savings, and site foot print changes. The Vendor Performance manager will also lead and facilitate vendor change transitions.

     

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    • Identify, assemble and provide leadership and direction to cross-divisional teams to ensure successful implementation.
    • Develop and administer systems and procedures that allow station management to successfully manage vendor performance and compliance.
    • Provide strategy support in the planning, coordination, execution and tracking activities associated with vendor performance.
    • Develop vendor performance management tools and vendor training protocol.
    • Facilitate supplier touch point calls to address corrective actions.
    • Develop and implement procedures designed to reduce cost or improve service provided by service providers.
    • Work closely with procurement to identify cost savings opportunities
    • Audit and evaluate Vendor invoices for accuracy
    • Review and evaluate service performance to identify opportunities and process change actions for improvements.
    • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

    Mandatory Requirements

     

    Educational Background:

    • Bachelor degree

     

    Professional Experience:

    • Supply chain management experience (Sourcing, Procurement)
    • Successful track record to drive continuous improvement in a metrics driven environment
    • Project management
    • Worked with cross functional teams
    • Able to intuitively ask the relevant questions to identify process gaps
    • Six sigma Green/Black belt experience (Not required but desired)
