  • General Responsibilities

    The Analyst will be able to utilize strong analytical and interpretive skills. Ability to partner with IT and communicate between IT and Accounting also drive accounting process improvements by utilizing technology tools in making decisions that will drive financial position.

     

    Role Specific:

    1. Manage datamart databases: including making any changes required within the calculations and data processing.  Requires expert knowledge in creating/maintaining complex Access databases that use multi-layered queries and macros, VBA and VB.Net programming languages, knowledge of SQL stored procedures, triggers, temp tables and views.
    2. Manage Fleet Accounting Data Governance initiatives to ensure the data integrity of financial data entering the General Ledger and/or Fleet Accounting system via Access Databases including participating in audit walkthroughs and data gathering. 
    3. Create, manage and facilitate a Fleet Accounting Data Policy Governance process to identify and understand the critical data issues in terms of business impact/risk/opportunity and ensure data policy enforcement and compliance.
    4. Analyze, prepare & distribute accurate daily, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports including validation info during close periods – this will involve running pre-written SQL scripts. 
    5. Prepare management reporting packages/trend analyses, including analytical review and graphs with root cause variance analytics
    6. Perform various analytical functions, including analyzing proposed introduction of new car programs, fleet acquisition, etc. and provide actionable insights.
    7. Ensure data integrity & quickly resolve issues
    8. Tackle various issues in the fleet department by offering and implementing actionable solutions including but not limited to: PDF forms, VB.Net applications, Access Databases, SQL databases etc.  
    9. Oversee projects and implement them successfully.

    Mandatory Requirements

    Educational Background:

    Degree in MIS, AIS, or Mathematics

    Accounting knowledge preferred                                

    Professional Experience:

    3-5 years

     

    Knowledge:

    • Advanced knowledge of MS Access and SQL
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
    • Moderate/Advanced knowledge of VBA and VB.Net programming languages
    • SOX Audit experience
    • PMO experience
    • Accounting knowledge preferred/required

    Skill

    • Highly-developed analytical and interpretive skills
    • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
    • Must have strong attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.

    Detail-oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
