Key-result areas                                   (Major Accountabilities)                        (What is done and for what purpose) - Retrieve and work report Emergency Road Service calls where renter claims the vehicle was stolen or no longer in their possession. - Theft Renter Report/Package – Maintain notes on theft packages and confirm stolen status with local police authorities and type up the theft report. - Key all possible stolen vehicles with the appropriate hold code until stolen status is confirmed. - Theft & Conversion - Add or Update all theft information. - Do Not Rent - Submit an eform for any theft where negligence occurred due to stolen vehicle. - Faxing Theft Packages – Fax all theft packages to local Hertz offices that have been completed daily for the location to report stolen. Location will call back with case #, officer’s name and police department, date vehicle was reported stolen, name and title of person who reported the vehicle stolen. - Closing Rentals – After alarm information is received proceed with closing out the rental record. - Follow-up on pending theft packages that do not yet have a case/alarm # need to be follow-up every three days. - Receive and process recovery information on vehicles. - FYI & Cancelled Packages – All thefts must be typed up for proper handling. - Complete Reconciliation Report weekly on thefts. - Research accurately/timely/correctly rentals in DASH, HLE, and Corporate to Franchise, aged rentals in the appropriate counter system, recording revenue accurately in the correct accounting period. - Analyze, correct and work the Exception Report, using good judgement to close rentals timely and accurately. - Generate, manage and disburse the Missing RA Report to the field weekly. - Document non-revenue information into the vehicle tracking system (CARRENT) to ensure correct movement of vehicle. - Responsible for documenting all HLE Vehicle Exchange Addendums into HLE Database to ensure proper vehicle movement. - Process all Quarterly Inventory documents within five (5) business days from date of inventory. - Responsible for research and processing impound notices in database timely and follow up with Fleet Pool managers weekly. The RE Business Analyst has the latitude to settle legal disputes with Landlords, handle Lease negotiations & make business decisions on lease terms ensuring they meet corporate standards.   Key responsibilities include: - Review and administer leases in order to ensure Company compliance with all lease provisions and obligations. - For Real Estate Summaries (RES’s) prepared by Operations, review for compliance with Hertz standards and policies (cost, terms, conditions, etc.). - Communicate with Region personnel, Landlords and the Corporate Law Department in preparation of lease documents. - Negotiate new leases and lease renewals & ensure lease terms conform to RES’s. - Review and approve lease abstracts to ensure accuracy and conformity to lease terms. - Resolve Landlord disputes & other Real Estate issues pertaining to leased properties. - Coordinate and monitor Real Estate Summary approval process & facilitate circulation of Real Estate Documents. - Assist the Law Department in tracking pertinent lease dates. - Coordinate lease renewals, expirations & terminations with Operations to ensure timely action is taken. - Assist with reports pertaining to status of Real Estate transactions and department’s performance. - Assist the Regions with Service requests and provide feedback on any concerns regarding proper Real Estate procedures. - Assist Region with Letters of Intent (LOI) & advise on Real Estate questions/concerns. - New locations and relocations are brought on-line at the earliest possible date. - Lease renewals are completed in a timely manner assuring no disruption in Operations and renewals are on the best possible terms. - The Real estate Group maintains compliance with corporate standards. - Real Estate disputes are handled in a timely fashion and settled in an amicable manner. - Proper documentation/approvals are provided with any Lease decisions. - Appropriate property portfolio resulting in affordable, well located properties of suitable size to meet Hertz and Advantage business needs.

The Hertz Corporation is currently seeking a Human Resources (Compensation & Benefits) intern that has the flexibility to work various days and hours aligned with a school schedule and school break vacations. This assignment will be based at Hertz World Headquarters. Depending on intern performance, there is potential for this to turn into a full time internship during the winter and fall breaks.             The Human Resources Intern will have the opportunity to support a diverse range of Human Resources activities such as employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits and organizational development. The intern will also be assigned to project work that will help streamline efficiencies in the department. The intern will have exposure to an employee population of approximately 600 Corporate employees (both front-line and Management) at the Hertz Global World Headquarters in Estero, FL.
