Job Title: VP of Business Development – Truck Services (National)


VPBD Job Overview:

 

The Vice President of Business Development (VPBD) Truck Services role is responsible for developing new medium and heavy duty truck business within their assigned territory.   The VPBD generates truck lease and services revenue for Donlen Corporation and establishes strong client relationships with new and existing customers within a defined truck fleet size (500-3500 units).  This position requires a person with a diverse skillset that can think strategically and is used to working with large private truck fleets.

 

Candidates applying for the National VPBD Truck Services role, in addition to the below qualifications, should be able to demonstrate recent success selling to large organizations (Fortune 500, high profile brands, national/international presence). 

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a database of prospects and customers that fit within the Truck Services market
  • Diligent management of all customer relationships and interactions within CRM
  • Generating appointments/sales calls
  • Effectively communicating Donlen’s value proposition to sign new business with and increase penetration of existing customer portfolios
  • Selling of all Donlen approved truck financial and services programs
  • Managing a robust sales funnel and exceeding annual growth targets
  • Provide strategic account management of customers focused on client retention, and maximizing penetration of all programs
  • Develop working relationships with Donlen AE’s and VPDB’s to team sell identified Truck Services targets
  • Providing consultative analysis to customers and prospects (i.e. Annual and/or Quarterly Performance Reviews, Replacement Analysis, Best Value Analysis; Scorecards)
  • Creating a positive image of Donlen Corporation at business functions and industry meetings
  • Coordinating with marketing staff to optimize lead generation and sales support functions

Responsibilities include creating a pleasant customer experience by greeting and engaging customers through a state of the art video link, completing rental transactions expeditiously, selling optional coverages, upgrades, and fuel options, as well as resolving complaints and ensuring overall satisfaction.  The Express Rents Sales Specialist's commitment to achieving incremental sales and providing first-class service will further Hertz’ growth and profitability.

 

  • Maximize margin by up-selling customers to higher-priced services and ancillary products to accomplish individual and team revenue-management goals.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by effective management of the rental process to include qualifying the renter and completing contracts. 
  • Support achievement of sales and margin goals by working closely with staff and Team Performance Leader(s) on assigned tasks and ad hoc duties or projects.
  • Protect company assets through adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate to Management all relevant customer feedback to facilitate on-going changes in our service and prices to drive continuous improvement within our Operations.

These positions are Part Time.  The department is open 7 days a week - 8am-8pm EST; must be flexible to work within these time frames; 18-29hrs a week; possible additional time available.

 

Earn additional bonuses of up to $4,800.00 during your first 8 months of employment on the Express Rent Team!

  • $300.00 guaranteed bonus after successful completion of training
  • $1,000.00 after 60 days of employment
  • $1,500.00 after 150 days of employment
  • $2000.00 after 240 days of employment

This is the first executing layer within the Revenue Management organization.  Under the direction of their manager, the Junior Revenue Management Analyst is primarily responsible for tracking and executing short term actions which meet minimum operational criteria.  The Junior Analyst may also be asked to analyze recent booking trends, summarize data, manage capacity levels, and perform ad hoc project work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution of immediate yield actions for Airport and Off-Airport locations.
  • Follow capacity guidelines and input any needed changes.
  • Work closely with Yield Management team to identify booking anomalies, using exception reporting and escalating any instances to the appropriate Revenue Management Analyst.
  • Monitor the performance of CMS (Contribution Management System), RMS (Rate Management System), and RM (Reservation Maintenance) and alert team of any system issues.
  • Report on the performance of short term actions, including realized utilization levels as well as any potential lost revenue.
  • Learn to identify patterns and issues related to the yield management process.
  • Execute various projects as needed.
